ABOUT
US
The United Oromo Evangelical Church (UOEC) was founded with a clear mission: to empower Oromo Christian communities around the world. We support the organization of Christian fellowships, fostering a sense of belonging and spiritual growth for the Oromo diaspora.
Today, over 100 Oromo-speaking congregations thrive thanks to the UOEC's efforts. These fellowships range from intimate groups to large congregations serving thousands in North America, Australia, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand, and even refugee camps across Africa.
Inspired by pioneering figures like Onesimos Nasib and Aster Gano, the UOEC sees these Diaspora churches as vital mission posts. We are committed to supporting evangelistic efforts in Oromia, the Oromo homeland, and in refugee havens like Kenya, Sudan, Djibouti, South Africa, Uganda, etc. A core aspect of the UOEC's mission is to guide, connect, and empower these congregations. We facilitate resource sharing and collaboration, ensuring they can effectively reach out and serve their communities and beyond.
Join us in fostering a strong and vibrant Oromo Christian network around the globe!
