About United Oromo Evangelical Churches (UOEC)
United Oromo Evangelical Churches (UOEC) is a Christ-centered fellowship of Oromo congregations across North America and beyond, united in faith, mission, and service. Founded in 1995, UOEC exists to glorify God by equipping, encouraging, and connecting Oromo churches to faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve our people with love and compassion.
For three decades now, UOEC has stood as a spiritual home for the Oromo diaspora, nurturing believers through worship, discipleship, leadership development, and mission outreach. We are committed to raising up the next generation of leaders, strengthening families, and sharing the hope of the Gospel with both Oromo communities and the wider world.
Grounded in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, UOEC serves as a unifying body—supporting local congregations, fostering collaboration, and building bridges across cultures and denominations. Together, we celebrate God’s faithfulness and embrace the call to be witnesses of Christ’s transforming power.
Our Vision To see vibrant, Christ-centered Oromo churches thriving in unity, reaching the lost, and transforming lives through the power of the Gospel.
